Wedding venue hire can be an expensive business, sometimes the perfect spot is right in front of you in your own garden. This theme is for those who want to get family and friends involved.

You could ask guests to share their garden harvest of flowers or even go foraging for berries and foliage, it's quite a relaxing pre-wedding de-stress activity. Jazz up foraged and found leaves perhaps with a wired berry garland, as things like rosehips and berries often aren't available throughout the year. You could choose a few choice silks if you didn't want the hassle or expense of arranging fresh cut flowers, and because they last forever you can keep them at home or give them away to guests after the event.

Savour family recipes with homemade jam or chutney favours, it's a lovely activity to do with your hens or with your Mum and Aunties and it will certainly please your granny. There are a large selection of cliptop jar which could be used to store goodies and decorated simply with hessian jar toppers or rustic ribbons.

A well decorated arch makes for a perfect outdoor photo opportunity, perhaps prepare by planting decorative climbing plants such as honeysuckle or sweetpeas to decorate your arch. Failing that an arch can still look charming and romantic with just a few added twinkly fairy lights.
